The prestigious Best Factory Awards are expanding in 2005 with the addition of dedicated product design and development categories. Innovation - in product and in process - is already a common theme of the awards programme and this year the competition will widen to include innovation in engineering design as well as electronic engineering design. The Product Design & Development Awards will run alongside the Best Factory Awards and will be judged using a similar model:
Completion of a detailed audit questionnaire
Site visits by an expert judging panel
